Acrylic on canvas - 10x10"
Not being the type to blog for the sake of blogging I have severely neglected my updates. Nearly a whole year since the last one!! Tut! Tut! Not that I suppose anyone really cares, but it has made me realise that my A-Z of dogs exercise that started out as a quick series of experimental paintings in acrylics has turned into a laborious labour of love. I think it is taking longer than intended because it is quite hard to get you lot to send me good quality photos of your dogs. It is also pretty much being run from my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/AlisonStaffordArt) so if you aren't on Facebook, or maybe not liked my page then you will be blissfully unaware of my plight! It is with this end that I urge each and every dog owner to check out my page, like it and take part in what I hope will become something that I can eventually publish in the form of a book. I have sold some of the originals to the owners of the dogs in question, but retained a high res image to use later, so although there is never an obligation to buy your dogs portrait, be assured that if you so wish, you can purchase it too! Enough said - this is 'J' for Japanese Akita, my future son-in-laws dog, and is currently hanging in his porch fending off bad spirits!
