![]() Gosh! Where on earth did the last year go? The beginning of the year was full of anticipation having finished filming The Big Painting Challenge. None of us were sure of the dates when it would be aired, but we were all sworn to secrecy, so we had to carry on as normal. However, during filming over a 6 week period I was unable to take on any work so I was busy trying to secure commissions, and rebuild my 'day job' as a freelance graphic designer. I also took part in a joint show in London called The Bigger Picture with my fellow contestants from The Big Painting Challenge which was a brilliant experience and forged some already good friendships and proved to be a rewarding showcase for our work completed outside the BBC programme. A few interviews and articles later, and I was back on track in my studio. As I spend most of my 'spare time' (snigger) with my favourite friend, Dolly, I have made it my mission for 2016 to concentrate on developing my horse paintings. I have painted many horse portraits for Christmas presents and it seems the natural way for me to develop my understanding of the horse, and hone my technique! So looking forward to spending time with The Society of Equine Artists and the Association of Animal Artists for some great workshops, exhibitions and events! Happy Christmas to you and thank you for all your support and interest in my work to date. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in a painting of your best friend!

AuthorI am a painter specialising in Oil portraits of animals and people, though I do take on commissions of just about anything. I love art, and I love being inspired and I love to paint! Please feel free to comment on my work. Archives
