A childhood spent in Constable country and a career in fashion and textiles has been the foundation of the inspiration and working practice of Alison Stafford.
A dog walk in her home county of Cheshire will often lead to a rush to the studio to capture the way the light fell on the trees in the local woods, or a particular colour palette dictated by weather conditions upon the landscape.
Primarily working with acrylics, and oils, her use of other mediums to enhance a particular work often leads to mixed media pieces.
Visitors to her exhibitions have said how uplifted they feel after viewing her work, and it is this that she strives to bring to each and every painting that she creates.
Happy to work on a commission basis she has created some unique feature artworks for clients homes, giving lasting memories of favourite places or experiences.
