Perfect for artists wanting to explore new sketching techniques using graphite, colour pencils, charcoal, pen.

You will learn how to loosen up, sketch tonally, describe texture, use compositional tools and strength of line to emphasise areas of interest and think outside the box!

This is an exciting workshop that will focus on play, experimenting and creating visual interest using basic tools. The possibilities are endless and will transform the way to approach work in your sketchbooks!

Ideal for artists wanting to hone their drawing skills and learn ways to be more expressive in their art practice.

All materials provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you have something you would like to try out.

Refreshments, Tea, Coffee, Cake available throughout the workshop.

Waterside Studio is based within the grounds of Clonterbrook House, close to Clonterbrook Opera. It is all on one level but access to the toilet facilities is across a courtyard.

Workshops are limited to 8 people to ensure one to one tuition and can be booked on a first come first basis.

There is plenty of parking on site which can be found to the back of the courtyard (follow the signposts)

Arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop to get settled with a cup of tea/coffee.

There will be a lunch break - please bring a packed lunch though there will be cake and biscuits provided.

The workshop will take around 3 hours.

If there is not a viable number of students, workshops may be cancelled and payment returned.

Should you cancel, a refund will be given less 50% of the course fee. It is regretted that no refund can be made in respect of bookings cancelled 30 days (or less) prior to the date of the workshop. The booking is non transferable.
