Perfect for beginners, or more advanced artists that want to loosen up and learn new techniques in mark making and composition.

Join me for a deep dive into how we can use Colour, Composition and expressive mark making to create mood and emotion using the trees outside the studio as our inspiration .

Perfect for artists wanting to try Acrylics for the first time, or artists that want to develop techniques and learn about colour theory, colour mixing, using a limited palette to create harmony and how to use acrylic mediums to best effect.

We will be focussing on colour to evoke mood and emotion.

Suitable for Beginners and experienced artists wanting to try a more painterly style.

All materials provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you have something you would like to try out.

Refreshments available throughout the workshop.

We will finish at 4pm so please bring a packed lunch, apron and sketchbook

Waterside Studio is based within the grounds of Clonterbrook House, close to Clonterbrook Opera. It is all on one level but access to the toilet facilities is across a courtyard.

Waterside Studio, Clonterbrook House, Trap Road, Swettenham Heath, CW12 2LS

Workshops are limited to 8 people to ensure one to one tuition and can be booked on a first come first basis.

There is plenty of parking on site which can be found to the back of the courtyard (follow the signposts)

Arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop to get settled with a cup of tea/coffee.

There will be a lunch break - please bring a packed lunch though there will be cake and biscuits provided.

The workshop will take around 3 hours.

If there is not a viable number of students, workshops may be cancelled and payment returned.

Should you cancel, a refund will be given less 50% of the course fee. It is regretted that no refund can be made in respect of bookings cancelled 30 days (or less) prior to the date of the workshop. The booking is non transferable.
