Inspired by the woodland outside my studio this is one of two small paintings using a limited Autumn Colour Palette.
Painted in acrylics using different tools to make the marks found in the bark of the trees, in a whimsical style using a rhythmic repetition of the leaf motif to emphasise the relentlessness of the seasonal cycles and time taking us into a season of cosy book lined corners.
