Thursday 16th July - 10am - 4pm
Are you frustrated by not knowing how to make the right colours to make your paintings ‘sing’?
Does the phrase ‘Colour Theory’ make you scratch your head?
Maybe you love colour but aren’t sure how to make your paintings feel harmonised?
Join me for a fun, information packed workshop as we explore colour and how it can evoke mood and atmosphere. I will show you how to simplify the colour mixing process, what colours to choose in the outset and how to correct a painting when it all feels a bit ‘much’
We will start by mixing colours to make our own wheels using different primary colours to understand the right starting point to choose the right colours to start your painting with.
We will use the colours we mix to paint a simple landscape which will give you an understanding of basic colour theory and tonal value.

"One of the best courses I have ever been on. I cannot recommend this course too highly. Alison takes you through painting your own colour wheel and then how to mix all the tertiary and analogous colours that are so important for making your painting sing. Plus the use of tones and shades using examples. Such an enjoyable and informative course” C.E.
“It was an excellent workshop and I loved the whole day. It was so instrumental in helping my art work improve. Alison is such a good teacher and talented artist. Her studio is an interesting and inspiring space.”
Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Please bring a packed lunch and an apron
