We start the workshop in our sketchbooks exploring how to create texture and marks with various dry media to use in our still life sketch
Join me for an exciting four hour deep dive into experimental drawing techniques where we will look at the importance of line, negative space, contrast, tone, composition, outline and texture! This is a fun workshop where the emphasis is on exploration, experimentation and play.
Perfect for artists wanting to explore new sketching techniques using graphite powder, Lyra sticks, charcoal, pen, and anything else we can make a mark with!
You will learn how to loosen up, sketch tonally, describe texture, use compositional tools and strength of line to emphasise areas of interest and think outside the box!
This is an exciting workshop that will focus on play, experimenting and creating visual interest using basic tools. The possibilities are endless and will transform the way to approach work in your sketchbooks!
Ideal for artists wanting to hone their drawing skills and learn ways to be more expressive in their art practice.
All materials provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you have something you would like to try out.
Refreshments, Tea, Coffee, Cake available throughout the workshop.
We will finish at 2pm so please bring a packed lunch
